Richard Armitage

When I am ill or it is terrible weather I love to watch "North and South". A BBC serie with Richard Armitage and Daniela Denby-Ashe. It follows the story of Margaret Hale (Daniela Denby-Ashe), a young woman from southern England who has to move to the North after her father decides to leave the clergy. The family struggles to adjust itself to the industrial town's customs, especially after meeting the Thorntons, a proud family of cotton mill owners who seem to despise their social inferiors. The story explores the issues of class and gender, as Margaret's sympathy for the town mill workers conflicts with her growing attraction to John Thornton (Richard Armitage).



Since then I am hooked on Richard Armitage and follow his work. This week series 8 of "Spooks" started on the BBC. The serie follows the work of a group of MI5 Officers based at the service's Thames House headquarters, in a highly secure suite of offices known as The Grid and takes place in London. My favo city. Richard's character is Lucas North (nice last name ;-))
