My first Grobanite tour

In the previous "Awake" tour of Josh, I only went to two concerts. One in Amsterdam and one in London. It was the first time I went to more concerts of the same tour of one artist. I mean I can watch a movie a couple of times and just can't get enough so why not with a concert. My first concert was Amsterdam, The Netherlands. You have to buy your concert ticket well in advance, if you want a good seat, and I had my tickets (front row) for a while. The days to the concert were long and I found it a shame that the concert was over so quickly. I did enjoyed it , but I was all hyper and excited. Also because I met him before the concert started, got my first signed cd and pictures. I couldn't stay after the concert because we had to go home (my husband had to go to work very early and he was tired).
Amsterdam, May 2007
After the concert I lived in a daze. I wanted more. So when I saw the call of another Grobanite to go to London I did not hesitate. She arranged the tickets, flight and stay and all I had to do was arrange a day off :) Hmm that was easy. We had a blast. The location was a palace; Hampton court Palace. I don't know why but I called it a castle and one of the security guys corrected me. Sorry for my mistake.

Again I had the opportunity to meet Josh and the band members. Josh was so relaxed, because it was his last concert of the "Awake" tour. The concert was held in the courtyard of the Palace. It was so beautiful and romantic. At one point a plain flew over and Josh joked about it. Luckily the weather was great. You can imagine this was another great experience. I didn't realize you have to grab the chances you get to go to a Josh Groban concert or a meet.
After this great experience I met three other "crazy" girls with the same passion. Their stories are crazier than mine :) It clicked and we even celebrate Josh's birthday every year. We also went to London (2008) to see Josh in "Chess in concert". Unfortunately Josh was too busy with rehearsals, we got a glimpse of him before and after the show and his dad came to talk with us and of course I met a lot of Grobanites from all over the world. The concert was fabulous and of course I have watched the dvd a couple of times.
After this we decided to go to more concerts with the next tour. We were told that the tour would start in 2010, but the CD to came out and we had to wait until the dates were announced. Josh decided to do some small concert called; The before we begin tour. The tour started in the U.S. and finally some dates in Europe were announced. I couldn't go to the one in London because I was in Suriname due to family circumstances. I had to wait till January this year and went with one of the girlfriends to Hamburg. We really needed it because it was a long time we had seen him 'live'. His voice was good and he was so relaxed and made a lot of jokes. At one time you had the chance to ask him a question and for some reason I didn't :( Don't know why.

Hamburg 2011
After Hamburg we couldn't wait for the 'Straight to you tour' and when the first dates were announced for Europe they were in Scandinavia. Because we haven't ever been there we decided to go to Scandinavia. We will start in Denmark (Copenhagen), Norway (Bergen and Oslo) and Sweden (Stockholm). We also wanted to go to Finland, but decided at the last moment not to go. I also will go to Amsterdam and London. The tour couldn't come at a perfect moment. I had planned my holiday in September and the tour dates are planned perfect :) We have created a scenario with the concerts and things we want to see of the countries in a very short time. Most of the things are arranged like concert tickets (LOL very important), stay and flight tickets. The only thing what must planned are the train tickets from the airport to the city. It will get used to different currencies because I am used to one currency for most of the countries around me. But hey that's just a small adjustment.
I also have a great new camera and hope to make a lot of beautiful pictures of all the countries and Josh. I am still working on my photo book and hope to get it signed, but I am very busy at the moment and I don't know if it will be finished by then. Enjoy your weekend!!!
