Something small can become big (day 7)

As you know I am a secetary at a psychiatric institution for the moment (just 5 workdays left till my next challenge). It can be really busy and today it was a madhouse. A lot of meetings and I had to transfer my work and to top it off at the end of the afternoon we had our New Year drinks with the three teams at our location. It was held in the waitingroom downstairs and it was homy. The food and drinks were well regulated. Thanks to some colleagues who arranged it.

Two teamleaders held a speech (the other one could not attend because he is out of the running for a while). They held a motivating speech in which they thanked us for our stake last year. After the speech they had a little surprise for us with a personal note. Which I liked. How often does this happen? The little surprise was a state lottery (with some chocolates). The result will be know on the 10th of this month. Who knows that something small can become big. I will let you know or not

The song "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys hangs in my head for a while. Just watch the last episode of "Gossip girl" and they used the music of this song. Maybe that's why.
